Washington D.C. is a destination that should be on every traveler's radar. Transport from Washington Dulles Airport.
There are 3 ways to get from Dulles Airport to Downtown - by train, taxi or bus.
Train.
The Silver Line Express Bus provides nonstop service between Dulles Airport and the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station, which connects to the Silver Line of the D.C. metro. However it does not reach the airport and you will have to catch a taxi or bus for 15 mins. The train journey is about 1 hour but helps to avoid rush hour traffic.
Bus.
Bus is the cheapest way to travel and provide non stop service from the airport to your destination. There are 3 types of buses you can take depending on your destination.
Taxi.
Taking a taxi is the most convenient form of transport to and from the airport, the journey is about 40 mins but due to how easy it is, it can also be quite expensive, traffic severity may add to your fare.
