Tipping.
Restaurants and bars- Tipping is mandatory therefore you will need to tip between 10% -15% at all restaurants, bar and clubs even if you ordered one drink.
Taxi- You can round up your fare to the nearest 10 or tip R10 or R20 for journeys more than 30 mins.
Hotels- Tipping around 15% to 20% is the usually done unless you have been charged a service tax.
Lingo in Cape Town.
Cape Town is a diverse country from its landscapes, cuisines and languages. There are more than 10 spoken languages so getting around knowing only English is not impossible. However the more the merrier, the next most spoken language is Afrikaans so lucky for you, we got you covered. Here’s a couple phrases to help you get by.

Transport from Cape Town Airport.
There are 3 ways to get from Airport to Cape Town city center - by bus, taxi or pickup transfers
Taxi.
Most taxis in Cape Town are operated by private companies. Private taxis offer services in a typical manner, charging fixed rates to the destination of your choice. The most common taxi fare from Cape Town airport to the centre of the city is €20 to €30 regardless of the operator.
Bus.
MyCity bus network is currently the only reliable mean of public transportation from Cape Town airport to city centre. The bus route operates from 05:30 am until 21:30 pm with departures every 20 minutes. Ticket cards can be purchased from the airport ticket kiosk and the total trip lasts around 30 minutes considering moderate traffic.
