Greta Gerwig said she took inspiration from the houses, climate and life of Palm Springs when creating her Barbieland which was made from scratch at the Warner Bros. Studios in England. Although a long way from home it is easy to understand why Palm Springs would serve as creative juice for a Barbie movie. With clear blue skies, signature palm trees dotting the skyline and summer goers who take time to enjoy the warm weather around them.
