How a venue makes it to the WKNDTRP app

If there was an enviable collection of holiday venues it would be in each of WKNDTRP’s power-packed City Guides. The WKNDTRP travel planning app has been disrupting the travel tech industry ever since its initial release over 4 years ago on the Apple App Store. Ever since, we have seen a number of new players entering the game introducing similar concierge features and travel planning tools in order to capture more of the niche luxury travel market. But one thing remains with so many options available to luxury travelers today. The tastes of business travelers, jetsetters, backpackers and bucket-list holidaymakers over 60 are slowly changing towards ‘two for one’ thinking. And we don’t mean pricing tiers because that’s a whole other story.

Travelers are hungry for more streamlined travel products that help them get from A to B without the hassle of unverifiable sources and of course, too many solutions that make it harder for them to make a simple choice - like which website to book flights with, which accommodation is best and what are the top sights to add to the itinerary that would suit their trip purpose and individual personality? Unlike other concierge travel services, WKNDTRP is specially designed to aid the traveler throughout their journey, from the very moment that they get inspired to go away for the weekend. At each stage of the trip, there is a feature or tool which will help them get more out of their trip, saving them time and effort than if they were doing their own research. It’s also a super stylish way to go as far as travels app are concerned (but don’t just take it from us). All of that good stuff minus the gaudiness and clutter of other premium travel apps? Yes please. Sleek and simple, we like it that way…

…but when it comes to our venues, it’s the opposite. Trust us when we say that only the best make it to the app. A venue (restaurant, bar, hotel, club, shop, sightseeing spot) passes the vibe check only if it meets our special criteria.

Venues that score 8-10 on each category are selected.

1. Product

The product, be it a hotel room, a lobby, a meal, drink or merchandise must always be of the best quality and presentation.

2. Service

As always, products are only as good as the service they are provided with.

3. Venue

The venues must not only be well located but also deliver a good, special, cozy or cool ambience.

4. Location

The location should not be too far away from the other buzzing places travelers like.

5. Other guests

Who wants to be in the wrong crowd or even more so, alone?

If a venue is in WKNDTRP, it’s worth checking out.
