Known as the “nations kitchen”, Osaka is Japan’s third largest city and the country’s most underrated destinations. It possesses some of the country’ best street foods and leisure activities. The best thing about travelling to Osaka is the varying and exciting food options you get to indulge in. Authentic dishes to try out include Takoyaki which is Octopus wrapped in rice flower, Okonomiyaki - savoury pancakes and Kushikatsu which is fried meat on a stick. Apart from the street food here is a WKNDTRP approved guide to the Osaka’s best restaurants.

 Yoshino Sushi

If you wish to try out Hakozushi, Yoshino Sushi is one of our best recommendations. With over 170 years of experience in making boxed sushi you can only expect the best here. The entrance may not look too promising but we assure you to look past the cover, it is totally worth it. Get ready to feast your mouth and your eyes on beautifully presented pressed sushi using a range of authentic ingredients. The place itself is not very large making it ideal for an intimate dining experience. Open from brunch to lunchtime head over there before starting your day.

In case you ever start craving authentic French cuisine in Osaka all you have to do is head to Hajime. Themed on creating dishes that have a “dialogue with the Earth” Chef Hajime Yoneda takes his time creating dishes inspired by the 4 seasons in his perspective.
