Transport from Berlin Airport.
There are 3 ways to get from Brandenburg Airport to Berlin city center - by train, bus or taxi
Train.
Before you decide which train to choose it is mandatory you get yourself a Berlin Transport card. Since public transport can be confusing and the queues are long the transport card is a Godsend when in the city.
The airport Express
The airport express trains (FEX, RE7 and RB14) are the fastest way to reach Berlin city centre from the Flughafen BER station, which is directly below Terminal 1 in level U2. The trains run every 30 minutes between around 4am to 11pm and cost €3.30 each way.
Berlin Metro
The metro is just as efficient as the Train and can be accessed from the Airport. If you are going to be using it a lot which you most probably will we recommend buying a Berlin Welcomecard
Bus.
There are plenty of bus options ranging from the Express bus which takes around 45 mins to the Bus X71 a new bus service introduced that is quick and efficient. You also get the night bus so we advise you to choose between your options depending on your schedule.
Taxi/Uber service.
Public taxis are freely available outside the airport at any given time and work on a meter. However you may also call an Uber. You will still be given a taxi but from the app and the payment goes through the app therefore it is foolproof system especially if you don’t speak German.
Best time to travel.
May to September temperatures between 20°C to 30°C
