Transport from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
There are 5 ways to get from Naples Airport (NAP) to Amalfi - by domestic flight, bus, cruise liner, taxi, car or town car.
Domestic flight.
Flights from major international cities regularly fly in and out of the Denpasar Airport. It is also well connected to most of Indonesia and has regular domestic flights connecting it to major cities within the country.
Car.
If your budget is on the higher side, you could hire a car along with a driver. Check prices of renting and fuels with various vendors before committing to one, to avoid overpaying, as these prices keep changing.
Bus.
You can take a bus from Jakarta (the capital of Indonesia) to Bali, but only if you can brave the 23-hour bus journey. Please note that buses might not always be available from the airport.
Taxi.
Taxis are the safest way to travel around Bali and are easily found at hotels and other convenient locations. Metered taxis are readily available and are very reasonable. Plus online ride apps – the likes of GOJEK, Grab, and Blue Bird taxi – are also available in Bali.
Ship.
Bali is quite a popular port for most cruise liners traversing through South East Asia. To get into Bali through the sea route, take a flight to Singapore, Sumatra or Java and take a ship for your onward journey to Bali. The information desks at the airport will guide you thoroughly.
Drive.
Exploring Bali can be difficult to do on someone else's schedule. So renting a car would be an option. International Drivers Permit and left-hand side driving applies here. Take your time and be extra cautious. New to Bali's roads? It’s best to learn to drive like a local—and adapt local attitudes and manners while driving.
Best time to travel.
April - October, although all year round is fine due to Bali's tropical weather.
