New York | Dinner
ACME is a modern bistro helmed by Executive Chef Mads Refslund who is offering locally sourced, seasonal New American fare with subtle Nordic influences. This elegant candlelit restaurant-cum-lounge is always full of people. It has that perfect combination of rustic yet cosy atmosphere. Giving that perfect vibe. The menu offers combinations of flavours both familiar and unexpected. Located in the heart of Noho, the restaurant was opened in January 2012 by Jean-Marc Houmard and Huy Chi Le of Indochine, and Jon Neidich in the space formerly occupied by the long-time Cajun mainstay ACME. While completely revamping the space and concept, the owners decided to keep the name and the facade, as a nod to the history of the neighbourhood. In addition to 25 tables in the dining room, Acme has an eating bar and rail reserved for walk-in diners on a first-come, first-serve basis. This place is hip and definitively a must visit.
